Following the invitation to tender for the national projects Proxima Mobile, the Reunion project Proxemploi was chosen for putting job-seekers in contact with employers in Reunion, through local services.

On 16 July 2009, the Secretary of State responsible for Prospects and Development in the Digital Economy, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, invited tenders for the national projects Proxima Mobile. With a budget of 10 M€, it will finance the setting up of innovative applications and mobile services for all users.

Over a period of two months, more than 250 applications were filed by a variety of actors (small and medium sized businesses, governement agencies, and societies). In the end, 68 projects were chosen, covering a wide range of activities : health, education, the handicapped, personal services, employment, consumption, culture, sustainable development, etc.

Among the 68 projects chosen and announced on 26th October 2009, was that of a group of Reunion-based companies which includes Runware, DM Conseil (a firm of IT engineers specialising in advice for town halls on public works) Projicom (on line services aimed at text management) and Cahri (a dvelopment agency agence working on traditional and mobile internet applications).

Entitled Proxemploi, this project aims to put job-seekers in touch with employers in Reunion through local services (web applications and mobile internet, free wi-fi internet access, Blutooth transmitters and short text messages).

Runware will take a central part in this project, dealing with the design and setting up of Bluetooth transmitters connected to the Proxemploi portal.
